We have built up a reputation for producing high quality printed products
It’s often used for acknowledgement notes, thank-you letters, or remembrance pieces sent after the funeral when things have settled a bit. Families usually don’t think about it until later, and then they realise they’d like something personal rather than a generic shop-bought card.
Most people want continuity with the memorial card. Same photo. Same colours. Same tone. That way everything feels connected. If someone received the card at the service and then gets a thank-you note later, it makes sense visually. That consistency matters more than fancy design.
Common formats are folded cards or simple flat note cards with envelopes. Some families prefer a blank inside so they can write their own message. Others want a printed acknowledgement paragraph thanking neighbours, friends, or medical staff. There’s no strict rule. It depends how formal or informal the family wants it to feel.
Photo quality again matters. The same rules apply as memorial cards — if the image is soft or pixelated, it will show. If you’re unsure, send it over and we’ll check before anything goes to print. It’s easier to fix at that stage than after.
We often see families across Louth organising this from different locations. Someone in Dundalk coordinating wording, someone in Drogheda handling the photo, and a relative in Dublin asking about quantities because they’re posting some out. That’s normal. Leinster is small enough that delivery and turnaround are usually manageable once decisions are made.
Paper choice leans towards matte or a gentle satin. Gloss tends to feel too “photo print” for this type of item. A slightly heavier card stock gives a nicer feel when someone receives it. It doesn’t need to be extravagant. Just solid and respectful.
One thing worth mentioning — spelling and names. Always double check. Family names, hospital names, parish names. We encourage people to proof slowly because once it’s printed, that’s it. Nobody wants to spot an error after envelopes are sealed.
If you already have wording drafted, send it on. If you’re unsure what to include, we can advise on common formats people use without making it feel scripted. Get in touch when you’re ready and we’ll keep the process straightforward.
