If you’re not familiar: it’s the duplicate (or triplicate) carbonless sheets. You write once, the copy transfers through. One for the customer, one for you, maybe one for accounts. Clean, simple, and still used everywhere — especially trades, deliveries, maintenance, site work. Plenty of lads across Louth and into Dublin rely on them because it keeps things straight. And when things go wrong, you’ve got a paper trail. Handy.
The key things to decide are format and what’s on the page. How many lines do you actually need? Are you writing itemised work, or is it a single job description? Do you need spaces for address, phone, VAT, date, signature? Don’t add boxes just to fill space. If you never use a box, it’s clutter.
Numbering is another one. Some people want sequential numbers printed because it makes tracking easier. Some don’t care. If you’re dealing with a lot of small jobs, numbering can save your head. If you’re doing occasional work, you might not bother. Up to you.
